Work with your ENT and possibly your allergist and dentist on tinnitus. Mine have been invaluable. You may have triggers like salt, aspirin, loud noises, junk food, stress, or extensive orthodontic work as teens. We all have a bit of loss at high CPS in noisy places, but earwax makes it worse. Generic and/or specially made bite plates have helped enormously. I know others who benefitted from supplements like gingko, and/or auditory training.

Yes, yes, yes!!! Once you’ve had cataract surgery (and most everyone I know has had at least one) nighttime driving becomes a nightmare. Add rain, no way on the road! Yes, they do a little “cleanup” on surgery first 3-12 months, but after that you’re on your own. Ironically, I do fine in totally unlit country roads with limited traffic at low speeds. Otherwise, I have dropped out of several nighttime activities as have some friends.

I second this one. New programs of all kinds and YouTube pieces are wildly inaccurate!

It’s been said that sex accounts for approximately 20% of a totally satisfying , long term relationship. However, if that 20% isn’t happy and satisfying it will negatively affect the remaining 80% of the relationship.
Sex should never be forced on anybody. Men or women with physical challenges can find numerous products to assist with these former barriers and make sex happy, enjoyable, comfortable and physically pleasurable again. If the woman insists on NO. The man gets a new sexual pal.

Yes, I can definitely relate. Even though you are in a crowd, you are isolated. Just not able to contribute to conversations. I try to explain my hearing issues to others so they could help me hear them; but either they don’t understand or forget immediately what I have told them, therefore I am constantly asking them to repeat or I think they said something different then what they said.
I ask them to look at me when talking to me and to use my name to get my attention first.

I’m interested in later classes b/c I work. I’m wondering if they are recorded and hope someone will from Senior Planet will respond.

Hearing with clarity is my problem. I miss a lot due to this problem. I stood up one day and suddenly had sunnen hearing loss in 1 ear. Even a hearing aid only helps a little. Especially with tinittis.

I like your comment. I agree with you. People that don’t need all the extras should have an option to turn them off. Everyone has different needs.

hello and i haver never lived or ever even made it done to see it. I have heard that the spiders Ana snakes to be careful inside and out, ane the hurrcaines can be brutal. Does the homes and apts need to be sprayed to keep the critters out

Therapist, HUH? Take an alcoholic and demand they join AA when they dont believe they are an alcoholic. No amount of therapy helps a person in denial. If you wife is okay not having sex and chooses not to seek counsel, medical or psychological for her lack or desire or discomfort during sex, then they she doesn’t love you enough to make an effort to bring back physical intimacy and contentment for you. Get divorced and find that woman who shares your desire.

I’m 70 and my wife is 65. She went through menopause at 60 and had vaginal dryness which we initially handled with lubricants. At 62 she started rejecting me for sex and agreed to see a doctor to get back her desire. She tried hormonal creams and homeopathic treatments, which did not work. She wont take identical hosrmone treatments or research the different types for fear of cancer. I understand there are IHT regimes that are safer and have not been associated with cancers of any type.
