It’s too easy to conflate EVs and AVs. An autonomous auto is not necessarily an electric vehicle, and vice versa. There are a number of ICE vehicles that have near-autonomous capabilities (there are no true AVs on the market yet in the US). Putting the two together only confuses people.

Recently bought a Chevy Bolt EUV. Electricity where I live is $0.07 a kilowatt hour. The car gets 4.5 miles per kilowatt hour. I can go 450 Mi on $7. I feel like a kid again. I go out cruising just for fun sometimes. I haven't done that since the 1970s. It has a low center of gravity go around curves very well and there's a lot of fun to drive because it's fast too. Wonderful car for an old fart like me.

Reminds me of a University Faculty meeting 30 years ago. It was in a U shaped classroom and I was sitting in the last row of on leg of the u,, tipped back in my chair. A real jerk colleague was sitting in front of me. He was recognized, begrudgingly. And then said, and this is an ACTUAL quote, “I don’t really have an opinion on this subject, but there are a few words I would like to say.” He thought every eye was on him, but acrually every eye was on me, flailing my arms trying not to topple.
