I’m not loving this book. The use of multiple narrators, bouncing between ‘voices’, the vocabulary, real vs imaginary, past vs present…all of these are making for an unpleasant and confusing reading experience for me. I read the first 50 pages and can not make myself pick it back up. It’s very doubtful that I’ll finish reading it.

Suggestion to the moderator: since we are all reading different versions of the book (ebooks w/larger or smaller fonts effects the page numbers, hard back books vs. paper backs), please indicate sections or chapters of the book for the reading assignment, instead of page numbers. The digital book that I borrowed from hoopla indicates that on page 127, I’m 15 pages into Section II. In my version, section I (one) ends on page 116. Many thanks.

Wow! This is an “oldie” and one of my very favorites (I think it’s actually in my book collection). I’ve read this book at least twice and will re-read it again for this discussion. Looking forward to it.
